ROMANIA: Stephane Batoux, recruited by Eti producer | Progresiv
Stephane Batoux, former General Director of Albalact, was recruited by Turkish manufacturer Eti to take up a global position within the group. He is currently Head of International Business at Eti Group, being responsible for the company's sales development strategy for Europe, Asia, the United States and Africa.
Batoux led the Albalact business last March, sold last year to the French from Lactalis. Previously, he led the local businesses of Coca-Cola Hellenic and Danone.
Eti are currently one of the largest sweets producers on the Romanian market. The construction of its Craiova plant was completed in May 2016, one year after the first Eti branch outside Turkey was established - ETI European Food Industries SA Romania. The current state of the plant is designed for planned future expansions, serving the Balkans and Central and Eastern European markets.
In Romanian trade, Eti products are distributed by Romega Food Distribution SRL.
The Turkish producer also recruited this year Mihai Georgescu, former General Director of Wrigley Romania and Kandia S.A. In March he took over Eti operations in Central and Eastern Europe.
