Adrian Comaneci, promoted to CFO of Mars Italia | Progresiv
Adrian Comaneci, the Romanian manager who held the position of CFO of Mars Romania for three years, was promoted to the same position in the Italian subsidiary as of April. Thus, Comaneci will lead the finance department of Mars Italia, a company that has in its portfolio brands such as Twix, Snickers, Mars, Kitkat, M&M, Cesar or Uncle Ben's. 
Adrian Comaneci joined Mars in January 2014 and was previously Senior Project Manager at Contrast Management Consulting management and strategy. Prior to joining Contrast, he worked for 5 years in FMCG, mostly at Procter & Gamble, where he was Senior Brand Financial Analyst for Health & Beauty Care segment and Customer Teams Finance Manager for P&G's businesses in Romania and Moldova.
Adrian Comaneci is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, being a graduate of Finance and Stock Exchanges.
Mars has been present on the Italian market since 1966 and currently operates on four business segments: pet food, chocolate, chewing gum and food. The company has over 230 employees.
In Romania, Mars is one of the most important active players on the FMCG market. Last year, eight years after Wrigley's takeover by Mars, the US company began the process of integrating the two businesses locally. The two companies had similar turnover in 2015: Mars Romania reported sales of 238 million lei, while Wrigley Romania reported sales of 225 million lei.
