Magnit and Russian Post disclose plans for its joint projects | Progresiv
Magnit in collaboration with Russian Post has disclosed its plans for the implementation of joint projects and will be cooperating in two key areas such as a new format for retail trade and joint use of the logistics capacities of both partners. 
The logistics test shipments have been successfully implemented in the routes Moscow-Berlin-Leidsendam and Moscow-Leipzig-Hamburg
Effective June 2018 the Russia Post will load the logistics operation of the retail network Magnit benefiting both the parties and Magnit plans to test selling food products in both rural and urban post offices.
In addition, trunk shipments are tested between Moscow-Kazan, Yaroslavl-Kazan and Yekaterinburg-Chelyabinsk, Berlin-Moscow route and other tests include loading of postal cars with cargo of Magnit grocery along route St. Petersburg-Murmansk.
Magnit distribution centers are planned for processing postal items and the joint projects are aimed to cut costs and have positive economic effect on both companies. (www.kantarretailiq.com)
