Carrefour Poland launches marketplace platform | Progresiv
Carrefour Poland announces the launch of a marketplace platform accessible at carrefourmarketplace.pl. The platform is accessible for third party (3P) sellers for a fixed monthly fee of 35 euros plus a 5-9% commission on sales, depending on the category. 
The initiative fits into the retailer’s global strategy of improving its digital presence and capabilities in key markets. Carrefour Poland joins France, Spain and Brazil and is to be followed by Italy, Belgium, Romania and China, while Argentina and Taiwan are still under study.
With this strategic move Carrefour has taken the lead in terms of reach amongst brick-and-mortar retailers opting to use their brand equity, store footprint and logistics capabilities in creating hubs for 3P sellers to trade on.
