ROMANIA: Management changes at P&G | Progresiv
In the last few months there have been several changes in the local top management of P&G. Thus, at the head of the sales department was promoted Laurentiu Hurjui, who previously held the position of Associate Director Market Strategy & Planning. He currently coordinates the sales teams on two major channels - traditional and modern trade - in Romania and several markets in Southeast Europe. This position was not previously occupied.
The new director of P&G’s shampoo and other hair products factory from Urlati (Prahova county) is Christopher Jones, after the departure of Italian Luca Schianchi. Jones comes from the company’s headquarters in Geneva (Switzerland) and has over 10 years experience in production and 20 years within the group.
This year’s changes in P&G Romania’s top management started with the arrival of Russian manager Elena Kudryashova at the head of local operations, in July 2016. She previously held the position of Country Manager in three markets - Israel, Cyprus and Malta - and has over 6 years of experience in marketing at P&G, both in Eastern Europe (Russia, Ukraine) and Africa and the Middle East. Kudryashova replaces Hans Dewaele, at the end of the mandate, who has decided to leave the company, also leaving the P&G group.
Procter & Gamble coordinates from Bucharest the entire Balkans region. The company's largest investment in Romania is the shampoo factory from Urlati, which employs about 300 people and delivers 90% of volume on foreign markets. This was inaugurated in 2010, following investments of around 100 million dollars. In Urlati are produced Head & Shoulders and Pantene shampoos for major markets in the region, such as Russia and Turkey.
