Tymbark producer plans investments of 20 million euros | Progresiv
Maspex Romania, the Polish-owned company that owns the Tymbark, Tedi and Salatini brands, has requested two state aids totaling about 45.5 million lei (9.8 million euros). The money would cover half of the planned investments for the Valenii de Munte (Prahova) and Vatra Dornei (Suceava) factories, the total value of the two projects amounting to 91 million lei (20 million euros).
"Our company has submitted two projects aimed at extending the activity by endowing with new technological lines and equipment necessary for the production flow. With these two investment projects, we want to meet the needs of the market and the gradual increase in consumption", said Ioana Visean, PR manager of Maspex Romania.
At the factory in Valenii de Munte, Maspex produces juices (Tymbark, Tedi, Ciao and Figo), instant products (La Festa), sweet and salty snacks (Salatini, Rollini d'Oro) and pasta (Arnos); in the Vatra Dornei is bottled Bucovina water. The latter was taken over in 2016, acquisition that also included the Bucovina brand.
This year, the Polish company has completed an investment of over 70 million lei (about 15 million euros) in a new aseptic bottling line, which allowed Tymbark juice to be launched on the market in a square PET pack, a novelty at category level.
Maspex Romania ended 2017 with a business of 409 million lei (90 million euros), up by 13% over the previous year, and a net profit of 23.3 million lei.
