ROMANIA: Sales growth for Farmec in the first half of 2015 | Progresiv
Farmec, the largest Romanian cosmetics manufacturer, concluded the first half of the year with a turnover of 82.65 million lei, 10% more compared to the same period of 2014. For the second half of the year, the company aims to maintain the growth pace.
The result is due to the extension of Gerovital H3 Evolution and Gerovital H3 Men product ranges, as well as the launch of new ranges: Gerovital Happiness and dermatocosmetic range with solar protection Gerovital H3 Derma+ Sun.
Also, in the first six months of this year Farmec opened in partnership with local companies two brand stores, one in Greece - in the city of Alexandroupoli - and one in France - at Menton. Both are tourist cities. Currently the cosmetics manufacturer owns 12 monobrand stores, of which half are on the local market and half in foreign markets: Greece, Hungary, France and the United Arab Emirates.
Farmec Cluj-Napoca is the largest Romanian cosmetics manufacturer, but also owns Nufar and Triumf brands, with which is present on the house cleaning products market. According to Nielsen data cited by the company, Farmec has a market share of 27% both in volume and in value on the face care segment. In detergents and kitchen care products, Farmec has a market share of 41% and, respectively, 49.7%.
