ROMANIA: A new executive committee for Mega Image | Progresiv
The Mega Image retailer announces a series of changes in the executive committee that take place after Mircea Moga (photo) took over the company's leadership. 
Thus, Emil Ilin took over the position of Commercial Vice-President, a position formerly occupied by Mircea Moga, before being appointed as General Manager of Mega Image. With over 20 years of experience in the commercial field, Emil Ilin has been leading the Buying Fresh department in recent years. He has made and launched a series of strategic projects such as Romanian Tastes from households, Romanian Tastes from farmers, Mega Apetit.
In his new role, Emil Ilin coordinates the company's commercial operations in business sourcing, category management, private labels, e-commerce and food safety.
Also, Alina Vladoianu Teau took over as Legal Vice-President. With over 18 years of experience in the legal field, she joined Mega Image in 2010.
At the same time, Hadewych Vermunt took over as Vice-President of Finance - a position formerly occupied by Lucian Vilau, before his appointment as CFO at the Albert company in the Czech Republic. Hadewych has been part of the Ahold team for seven years while managing Financial and Managerial Reporting Activities and Business Services Finance Ahold Europe, and has played roles such as Senior Director Group Control Reporting and Financial Vice President Albert Heijn. In his new position, Hadewych leads the company's financial operations and makes an important contribution to shaping and implementing the company's growth strategy for the coming years.

Founded in 1995, Mega Image is one of the largest supermarket chains in Romania with a chain currently comprising 676 stores in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Ploiesti, Brasov, Targoviste, Timisoara and other cities in the country, under the Mega Image, Shop & Go, Romanian Tastes banners. According to the most recent financial data available, the company ended 2017 with businesses of 4.9 billion lei, reporting an increase of 14% compared to 2016.
