ROMANIA: dm drogerie markt made its first openings this year | Progresiv

dm drogerie markt specialized retailer has recently opened three commercial units, reaching 94 stores. These are the first openings that the retailer has marked this year, although the target announced for the financial year 2017-2018 was 13 new business units.

Of the three new units, two were inaugurated in Bucharest, one on No. 43 Gheorghe Magheru Boulevard and one on No.1 Gheorghe Sincai Boulevard, while the third store was opened in Arad, on No. 2 Crisan Street.

dm drogerie markt entered the local market in 2007 and is part of the dm group that operates internationally in 13 European countries and also offers a small selection of dm in China through an online store. In the financial year 2017, the retailer reported business of 306.2 million lei, up by 20% over the previous year. At the level of profitability, however, dm drogerie markt’s losses rose to 3.4 million lei.
