Puratos Romania, over 28 million euros in turnover last year | Progresiv

Puratos Romania, part of Belgian group Puratos - one of the most important manufacturers of ingredients for bakery, pastry and chocolate ingredients - reported a turnover of 28.7 million euros in 2016, up by 10% over the previous year.

Puratos has been present on the Romanian market since 1995, and the company sells ingredients for bakery and chocolate manufacturers, with no end-consumer products in the portfolio.

Since 2006, Puratos also owns a factory located in the northern part of the Capital, after an investment of 10 million euros, with an area of 2,600 square meters and a capacity of 340 tons per week.

Globally, Puratos Group registered a turnover of 1.6 billion euros in 2016 and at the beginning of this year it acquired the entire Austrian company Diamant - one of the leading manufacturers of ingredients for the bakery industry in Central and Eastern Europe .

With the acquisition of Diamant, Puratos Group has strengthened its presence on the markets of Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.
