Kaufland drops 480 Unilever products in pricing dispute | Progresiv
German hypermarket chain Kaufland removes approximately 480 products from Unilever brands. Reason is a dispute about purchase prices. These are brands such as Knorr, Magnum, Lipton and Ax. Kaufland made the decision to removes products until further notice.
According to Kaufland, Unilever has drastically increased the prices of products. Until further notice, the products therefore disappear from the shelves of the German chain. The assortment is supplemented with own brands, according to Lidl's sister company.
In the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria too, due to disagreements about prices, orders would have been canceled at Unilever. Unilever did not want to respond to the issue because the discussions with trading partners are confidential. (www.distrifood.nl)
