György Galántai is the new sales director of Coca-Cola HBC Romania | Progresiv
György Galántai has recently been appointed Country Sales Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Romania, the largest player in the soft drinks industry. He comes from Hungary, where he has held the same position for the last four years. The executive has been working with Coca-Cola Hellenic since 2001 when he joined the company through a trainee program. 
Galántai succeeds Dan Timotin at the management of the sales department of Coca-Cola HBC Romania. Timotin was promoted General Manager of Pivara Skopje (Northern Macedonia), a bottler owned by Coca-Cola Hellenic who produces and distributes beers from Heineken's portfolio on that market. The Romanian manager gained an 11-year experience with the local bottler of Coca-Cola, occupying various managerial positions in the finance and sales departments.
Coca-Cola HBC Romania has increased volumes by 8.9% last year compared to 2017, to 192.7 million crates, reporting increases in all categories - according to the financial report recently published by the company.
Coca-Cola Hellenic's sales in the emerging markets region, including Romania, rose by 4% in volume, to 1,143 million unit cases in 2018 compared to the previous year. Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, FYROM (present-day North Macedonia), Moldova, Montenegro, Nigeria, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine are also part of this region. Net sales in the region fell by 1.1%, to 2.88 billion euros.
