GLOBAL: Nestle to push super-premium chocolate brand | Progresiv
Nestlé is set to take Cailler, its first super-premium chocolate brand, into global markets. The move will see the brand being made available in the UK, US, and Germany immediately, with the China market opening up in mid-November.
The Swiss group has named Amazon as the primary retailer of the brand, which will also be available through travel retail outlets in major airports (Geneva, Zurich, Dubai and Singapore), as well as at Maison Cailler in Broc, Switzerland.
The Cailler brand was first created in 1819 by M. Francois-Louis Cailler, and have been crafted in ‘Maison Cailler’ in Broc since 1898. The chocolates use premium ingredients, including roasted hazelnuts and almonds, and milk collected within 20 miles of Maison Cailler.
Nestlé noted: “Cailler is part of our heritage. Each year more than 400,000 people come to Broc to taste our chocolate. Now chocolate lovers in the UK, Germany, USA and China can discover uniquely creamy and beautiful Cailler Swiss chocolate in their homes.” (www.kamcity.com)
