FrieslandCampina triples production in its Cluj factory with 1.3 million euros investments | Progresiv
Dairy and cheese producer FrieslandCampina, one of the most important players in the dairy market, opened a new production line in the factory in Cluj-Napoca for the production of telemea. The investment in the new line amounted to 1.3 million euros and will triple the production capacity of telemea to 350 tonnes per month.
"This investment is a very important step in our development. Even though the last few years have not been very good for the company, we have continued to invest about 3 million euros each year in both production lines and technology", said Cornel Caramizaru, General Manager FrieslandCampina.
The Napolact factory in Cluj has the only telemea processing line of the producer. In it, Napolact produces three kinds of telemea - fresh, mild and Huedin.
FrieslandCampina Romania S.A. is part of the Dutch company Royal FrieslandCampina and owns the brands Napolact, Frico, Milli, Oke and Dots, through which is active on six categories: consumer milk, yogurt, cheese, butter and milk-based snacks. Last year, Napolact's producer posted a consolidated turnover of 331 million lei, up by 4% over the previous year and a profit of 2.65 million lei, this being the first time in the last five years when the company reports profit.
