France’s Auchan Retail testing 'scan and pay' service | Progresiv
Auchan Retail France has announced that it is experimenting with a digital service that will allow consumers to scan and pay for products with their mobile phones.
Rapid'Auchan has been designed in partnership with digital marketing company Budgetbox and mobile payment app Lyf Pay.
The service will be integrated with the MyAuchan application.
Rapid'Auchan has been designed to attract young, urban mobile-savvy customers who want to save time while shopping, the retailer claims.
The company is still experimenting with the concept, and the service has yet to be released to the public.
In March of this year, Auchan Retail Italia launched a mobile payment app, AuchanSpeedy.
Developed in collaboration with Mastercard, the app allows customers to scan products in store and pay for them on their phones. (www.esmmagazine.com)
