Eisberg salad producer to invest 2 million euros in production expansion | Progresiv
Eisberg Romania salad producer, part of Swiss group Bell, is in the process of investing about two million euros in the expansion of space and production lines, said Nicoleta Scarlat, Sales Director of the company.
Last year, the producer, who owns a production unit in Pantelimon, Ilfov County, ended with a turnover of 11 million euros amid the expansion of retail distribution and HoReCa and the growing demand for this product.
For 2019, Eisberg has budgeted a 5-10% volume advance. "We know that as volumes increase, profit margin drops, so on the profitability side, we hope to stay at this year's level", said Nicoleta Scarlat.
The company started in the last quarter of last year an investment plan of up to two million euros for the expansion of space and production capacity, and for 2019 the manufacturer is considering a new project to extend the assortment. "For us it would be a step on the ready-to-eat salads, but that's what we're going to discuss in the second half of 2019" added the Sales Director.
