Carrefour Polska expands scan and go service to 28 new cities | Progresiv
Carrefour Polska has announced that it has extended its scan and go service to more than 30 new outlets across 28 cities in Poland.
The service will be available in stores located in large, urban cities like Warsaw, Kraków, and Lublin, and also in medium-sized cities including Bydgoszcz, Szczecin, Białystok, Gliwice, Kalisz, and Pila.
Residents of Jaworzno, Konin, Puławy, and Dębica can also avail the facility.
The scan and go service was already available in 5 stores in Warsaw since 2017.
Customers can independently scan products through the My Carrefour app, and pay for their purchases in dedicated cash registers without queueing up in regular checkout counters.
The retailer has also collaborated with Mastercard, and purchases of PLN 30 (7 euros) and above are awarded an e-voucher of PLN 10 (2.3 euros) for payments made through Masterpass electronic portfolio.
Financial services and sales director of Carrefour Polska, Grzegorz Wazowicz, said, " With the extension of the scan and go service into 28 new cities, together with Mastercard, we have also launched the option of using our mobile payment application using the Masterpass electronic wallet.
"The combination of all these elements will allow our clients to do even faster, more convenient and more satisfying shopping in our stores."
Carrefour has organised educational campaigns in its stores to encourage and support customers to use the new service.
The group aims to extend the service to all its supermarkets and hypermarkets in Poland. (www.esmmagazine.com)
