Campari reports improved 9M sales | Progresiv
Campari has reported accelerating sales for the first three quarters of its current fiscal year, with results improving from its first-half figures.
For the January-September period, sales were up 6.6% to 1.2 billion euros on an organic basis (-2.5% reported basis), compared to the 5.4% growth reported for the first six months. Meanwhile, adjusted operating profit grew by 8.7% to 259.2 million euros, while adjusted pre-tax profit was up 4.8% to 235.5 million euros.
The group said results were driven by strong demand for its Aperol brand (sales up 31%), which was bolstered by positive growth for its Campari (+9.7%) and Wild Turkey portfolio (+13.7%), even as the Jamaican rums reported a modest increase (+5.6%).
Campari said sales growth for the rest of the year is expected to remain strong, noting that it remains confident of “achieving a positive performance across key underlying business indicators.” (www.kamcity.com)
