ROMANIA: Selgros, investments of 4 million euros in a fast delivery center | Progresiv
Selgros Cash & Carry Romania extends its business on a new segment of services and launches its own distribution center dedicated exclusively to HoReCa customers (hotels, restaurants and bars) in Bucharest and surroundings. The investment amounts to about 4 million euros.
Customers have several ways to place orders through both online platform, e-mail and by phone or via sales representatives. Soon, Selgros will launch a smartphone app for orders that will make the process more accessible.
The new distribution center near the store in Pantelimon features a 3,500 sqm space, the period of preparation for the launch of the delivery service being 3 months.
Selgros Cash & Carry chain, present in Romania since 2001, currently has 19 units in cities such as Bucharest, Brasov, Iasi, Targu Mures, Oradea, Cluj, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Craiova, Bacau, Galati, Braila, Arad, Suceava and Constanta.
The company is part of Transgourmet Holding AG, the second largest chain of cash & carry and wholesale trade in Europe, with operations in Switzerland, France, Germany, Poland, Romania and Russia. It includes banners such as Prodega/Growa/Howeg, Selgros Cash & Carry, Transgourmet Germany and Transgourmet France.
