Purcari Wineries has a new Operational Director | Progresiv
Purcari Wineries, the leader of the local premium wine market, named Eugen Comendant as Operational Manager. The manager will take over this position from June 10th and will report directly to Victor Bostan, General Director of the company. 
Eugen Comendant will directly supervise the sales, marketing, finance, HR, administration, investor relations, legal and IT departments. He has over 15 years of experience in telecommunications, becoming Director of Mobile and Triple-Play with ACN in Amsterdam, responsible for 18 European markets and, most recently, Sales and Marketing Director of FRIENDi, the telecom operator in Oman, part of Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa.
Eugen Comendant is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam.
Purcari Wineries was founded in 1827 and manages about 1,000 hectares of vineyards and operates four production platforms in Romania and Moldova. The group is a leader in the premium wine segment in Romania, with a 30% share and the largest wine exporter from Moldova, delivering in over 30 countries. The company reported a turnover of 169 million lei in 2018, up by 19% and a net profit of 46 million lei, marking a 58% advance compared to the previous year, according to the financial report published by the company.
