Miniprix enters the food retail segment | Progresiv
Fashion retailer Miniprix recently launched an online minimarket, a project that appeared as an adaptation to the situation created by the spread of coronavirus.
"We closed the physical stores on March 12 because we wanted to keep the people in the team, but also the customers healthy and safe. The minimarket appeared of the desire to support the customers to stay home. The idea was that if they still order clothes from Miniprix and someone goes to their door to take them, they may also need a bag of flour or other basic goods. Also, we have sold food online in the past so it was easy for us to mobilize”, said Mara Cristina, Brand Manager Miniprix.
Currently, the assortment includes around 60 products, from the basic food categories, sweets, coffee, cleaning products and personal care. For the next period, the retailer wants to expand the assortment to about 100 products, from the same categories.
"We are currently collaborating with some of the former partners, but the truth is that it is quite difficult to find offers during this period and we are constantly looking for partners", points out the representative of Miniprix.
