Vascar business, up by 17% in Q1 | Progresiv
Vascar, one of the leading local meat and canned food producers, announces a 17% increase in turnover in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same period last year. 
"The registered growth is in line with the indicators we have proposed for this period. This year's strategy aims a growth of 20% in 2019 compared to the previous year, in the context of strengthening the position gained in the Capital and in the main cities where we have managed to expand the distribution both horizontally and vertically. We will also continue to focus our efforts on streamlining direct sales through our own stores in the Moldova region", says Vlad Ciuburciu, Vascar General Director.
An important role in the strategy for growth is also the innovative launches of the last period: recipe changes for many of the Moldova in Bucate products so that E-s can be completely removed, said the company's representatives.
In 2018, Vascar reported a turnover of approximately 18 million euros, up by 15% over the previous year.
Founded in Vaslui in 1984, Vascar is a 100% Romanian company with an organic evolution on a highly competitive market. Today, 35 years after its founding, Vascar is one of the main meat and canned foods producers in Romania, offering products under the Vascar and Moldova in Bucate brands. The company owns a processing plant in Vaslui and 19 own stores in the Moldova region. Part of Vascar and Moldova in Bucate products are distributed nationwide, in hypermarkets and traditional partner stores. Vascar is also a company that produces private label products for Carrefour, Mega Image, Penny Market and Lidl.
