SPAIN: Auchan launches Alcampo City in Spain | Progresiv
Auchan has opened its first Alcampo City compact hypermarket in Spain, in the Alicante region. 
The store spans 4,000 square meters, groups 22,000 SKUs of which 90% is food, including multiple local choices. Fresh categories are emphasized through a broad offer and extra staff.
A fresh pizza counter, a sushi bar, a coffee shop and a Rikk & Rok (Auchan’s children dedicated PL) Club children area complement the services in store. The store is manned by 130 full time employees.
Auchan has also deployed some of its latest technology-enabled solutions in the new store: digital displays, self-scan counters, NFC payment terminals and a collection desk for orders placed online.
