Secom's business reached 25.5 million euros in 2019 | Progresiv
Following an investment of 3.3 million euros to expand the portfolio, Secom reports positive results for 2019. The turnover increased by 21% in 2019 compared to 2018, up to the threshold of 25.5 million euros.
According to the company, the main investments in 2019 were aimed at expanding the portfolio with a series of innovations, developing the team by attracting new talent and improving functional and management skills. Regarding the portfolio, 2019 has translated into innovation in terms of range extensions, both within the probiotics, multivitamins and minerals segment, as well as in the minerals-calcium segment, but also in the pediatric range.
The company plans to develop the business, both vertically and horizontally, and to continue investments in the technology and automation of its processes. Another priority in 2020 is to strengthen the retail chain.
"An important step will be 2020, which has all the premises to be a successful year, in which we expect to have a double-digit growth and improve the company's profitability rate", says Lucia Costea, Secom CEO.
Secom is a Romanian company with 16 years of experience in the import, distribution and marketing of food supplements, teas and natural cosmetics certified and patented globally, made by some of the most renowned international producers. Currently, Secom's portfolio includes over 470 premium natural products: 300 dietary supplements that cover a wide range of conditions, over 40 assortments of teas and 130 latest generation cosmetics. The products are available in over eight thousand pharmacies and stores nationwide, in the company’s own stores, as well as online.
