Schwarz Group taps EBRD funding for Greece, Moldova growth | Progresiv
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will grant a loan of up to 120 million euros to the German Schwarz Group. Of this sum, 70 million euros will go to the Lidl chain in Greece, and 50 million euros to Kaufland stores in Moldova.
The Schwarz Group projects financed by the EBRD are associated with the development and implementation of training programs targeted at young people in Greece, and with a dedicated recruitment and integration program for disabled workers in Moldova.
The money will also be allocated to the project to improve corporate governance in the field of climate issues, and to raise the standards of sustainable development in new supermarkets in Greece and Moldova by installing the best resources-efficient technologies.
In 2018 the Schwarz Group has already received a 100 million euros loan from the European Investment Bank for the regeneration of stores in Poland. (www.wiadomoscihandlowe.pl)
