Sano Vita’s new owner aims for growth through new acquisitions | Progresiv
The Highlander Partner investment fund, which has taken over the majority stake in Sano Vita, plans to accelerate Sano Vita's growth by expanding its product portfolio, streamlining production capabilities, but also through other acquisitions, announced the company. 
"SanoVita marks the second investment in Romania in less than a year. We believe the company has significant growth opportunities, which will be determined by increasing consumer awareness and product innovation", said Raluca Nita, Managing Director of Highlander Partners.
"We will target companies with strong growth potential and we want to grow Sano Vita's portfolio through permanent acquisitions", added Jeff L. Hull, President and CEO of Highlander.
On the other hand, the founders of SanoVita will work with Highlander and continue to support the business development. “We rely on Highlander to prepare SanoVita for the next growth stage. With improved operational and strategic support, we will continue to expand our position in the market", added the founders of SanoVita: Cornel Soare, Ion Dan and Dumitru Dan.
Highlander Investment Fund is not at its first acquisition on the Romanian market, taking over in July 2019 the majority share of the Ares Medical Centers, specialized in the field of cardiology.
Sano Vita, a Romanian business developed in the area of vegetarian products, founded in 1995 in Valcea county, reported in 2018 business of 72 million lei, up by 7% compared to the previous year, with a profit margin of over 10%. Sano Vita employs 247 people and is one of the largest companies in Valcea County. The shareholding of the company is divided between three entrepreneurs - Cornel Soare (55 years), Ion Dan (62 years) and Dumitru Dan (60 years).
Highlander Partners is an American investment fund that holds approximately 2 billion dollars in shares in companies. The investment fund seeks companies with sales of between 10 and 500 million dollars, and as fields of interest are the manufacturing companies, industrial goods, auto industry components, the packaging industry or food sector.
