Romaqua Group to invest 12 million euros in its Busteni factory | Progresiv
Romaqua Group, one of the most important players in the local mineral water industry, has allocated 56 million lei (about 12 million euros) for investments in expanding the production capacity of still natural oligomineral water Aquatique from the city of Busteni, Prahova county. 
The project involves the acquisition of two new, high capacity lines for bottling mineral water at various volumes, as well as expanding production and logistics areas. In order to make this investment, the company obtained a state aid of 28.32 million lei, announced the Ministry of Finance.
The decision also involves the employment of approximately 87 people.
Romaqua Group ended the financial year 2018 with a turnover of 823 million lei, up by 13% compared to the previous year. In terms of profitability, the company also had a good year, reporting for the first time a net result of over 96 million lei, marking an advance of 35%. In fact, during the last five years Romaqua Group's business has been on an upward trend, the company increasing its sales by over 50% during 2013-2018.
The company is controlled by businessmen Octavian Cretu and Nicolae Palfi and currently owns five factories, in Borsec (Harghita county), Stanceni (Mures county), Busteni (Prahova county), Lancram (Alba county) and Bucharest.
