Romanian food exports in Austria rose by almost 300% | Progresiv
Since Romania joined the European Union (2007), Romanian food exports to Austria rose by 284.4% in 2014, to 84 million euros, while for the same period, Austrian exports to Romania increased with only 4.6% to 115 million euros, said Rudolf Lukavsky, the Commercial Section Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy in Romania. 
Regarding food imports from Austria, chocolate and cheese deliveries increased, but those of pork meat and soft drinks haeve decreased.
The Austrian Embassy, together with Carrefour Romania, organizes between 7 and 14 May, the Austrian Week at Carrefour, which will take place in 22 of the French’s hypermarket chain, where will exhibit their products both Austrian companies already present in Romania and companies trying to make their entry into the Romanian market.
The Austrian Week will feature Austrian manufacturers such as: Almdudler (soft drinks), Biologon (bio products), Hochriegl and Schlumberger (sparkling wines), Heindl (chocolate), d'Arbo (fruit products), Hopler (wines), Zimmermann (frozen vegetables), Frierss (meat products), Berglandmilch and Bergkasserei (cheese).
