Besides the seven categories submitted for nomination and voting, Progresiv decided to offer a special prize named Rising Star.
"For 17 years Progresiv encourages not only the dialogue between the major players in the industry, but also entrepreneurship and youth. The "Rising Star" award is not about certainties or superlatives, but is about potential, about courage and about perseverance. We then looked at the young people that we interviewed the past year – from the corporate area, but also the entrepreneurial area – and we stopped at a name whose story went to our hearts as well as our readers’, a record of accessing and unprecedented shares on social platforms," said Mihaela Popescu, Progresiv’s Editor.
„Rising Star” special award went to
Razvan Rusu, the creator of „Dulceata lu’ Razvan”
Progresiv Awards project started from the desire to highlight people, organizations, brands and successful projects in the FMCG market that set trends and contribute to the industry’s development, as well as the role of strong partnerships between retailers and suppliers. The competition focused on companies, brands and products, managers and entrepreneurs active in the Romanian FMCG retail for at least 12 months.
The mechanism of Progresiv Awards was simple, transparent and objective. The competition involved three phases: nomination (from industry professionals), validation of the nominations and establishing the finalists in the Specialists Council, and the crossed voting.
Thus, the awards for suppliers were based on the retailers’ votes, while the awards for the retailers were based on the suppliers’ votes. The nominations and voting were done through unique links, these guaranteeing that a person may vote only once as they become inactive after the first accessing.
The Research Partner in the Progresiv Awards project is market research company Ipsos Romania, and the partner who created the branding and visual identity is Inoveo.
