ROMANIA: Whiteland starts distribution of FrieslandCampina dairy in Moldova | Progresiv
Whiteland Import Export distributes since February, FrieslandCampina’s dairy products and cheese in the traditional trade in the region of Moldova, according to a statement to Progresiv magazine from George Stefanescu, General Manager of the company. 
Whiteland Logistics will also operate for FrieslandCampina the logistics services for major retailers in the same region, and Imersia, another company in the group, is negotiating for providing BTL services to the dairy maker.
The contract is part of Whiteland’s strategy of bringing new customers to the group's portfolio after the termination of the contract with Hochland Romania - its most important partner - since January this year.
Other contracts signed lately by Whiteland are those with Nestlé Romania for distribution of sweets and foods in the west of the country and with dairy manufacturer Olympus for national distribution in traditional trade.
George Stefanescu also mentioned that Whiteland is negotiating with other companies for the integration of their products in the distribution portfolio.
Whiteland Import Export reached last year an agreement with the cheese manufacturer Hochland, which gave him its distribution both in modern and traditional retail trade.
The company reported a turnover of about 115 million euros last year and for this year estimates half of that number following the conclusion of its business partnership with Hochland.
