ROMANIA: Two-digit growth for Coca-Cola HBC Romania in 2015 | Progresiv
The sales volume of soft drink bottler Coca-Cola HBC Romania reported an advance of 11% in 2015 with constant performances across the entire portfolio, this being the second highest increase recorded in the group, after Ukraine. The evolution is a recovery after 2014, when traded volumes had decreased by 6% to 139.2 million unit cases. 
"The performance of the carbonated category were supported by Coca-Cola and Fanta brands by launching the new 1.25 liter packaging, the bottled water segment recorded a growth of 7% after a prolonged period of restructuring its portfolio, while Cappy Pulpy continues to report good results in the juice category. In terms of packaging mix, the small, single servings, continued to grow", according to the company’s financial report.
In the information released it is not specified the actual volume sold by country, but emerging markets region, which includes Romania, increased by 2.5% in volume, up to 1055.2 million unit cases. Moreover, our country is mentioned as one of the top performers alongside Nigeria and Ukraine.
This region also includes markets such as Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, FYROM, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia and the Republic of Kosovo. In terms of sales value, they were down by 7.9% in the emerging markets, reaching 2.76 billion euros.
At group level, volumes increased by 2.6% reaching 2,055 unit cases, while net sales decreased by 2.5% to 6.34 billion euros.
