ROMANIA: Peter Mueller, former Mondelez manager, takes over Heidi Chocolat | Progresiv
Austrian Peter Mueller, who led Mondelez Romania business between 2005-2008, was appointed as of December 2016 the new General Director of Heidi Chocolat. He replaces Italian Franco del Fabbro, who led the chocolate manufacturer’s operations during the past three years. 
Peter Mueller has an experience of 16 years within Mondel, occupying several positions over time, including that of general manager of Mondelez Romania, between 2005-2008. Later he occupied positions of strategy and development director of Mondelez International and Director of Mondelez for Czech Republic and Slovakia, respectively, director for Central Europe area.
Between 2015-2016, Mueller was global professional business president within Jacobs and in June 2016 set up his own business in the consultancy area.
Present in 48 countries, Heidi Chocolat was founded in 1994 by Swiss Laederach family, owner of Confiseur Laederach AG, a manufacturer of premium confectionery and chocolate. In 2013 Heidi Chololat was taken over by KEX Confectionery group, controlled by Julius Meinl. Heidi Chocolat owns a factory in Pantelimon and has over 350 employees. The company ended 2015 with a turnover of 98.8 million lei and a net profit of 1.3 million lei, according to data reported to the Ministry of Finance.
