ROMANIA: Over half of Romanians drink milk daily | Progresiv
A percentage of 53% of Romanians consume milk once or several times a day, according to an online survey conducted by dairy manufacturer Olympus Romania in October this year.
The study shows that 71% of respondents associate milk with the first part of the day and consume it in different ways at breakfast. Also, in one of three households in Romania are consumed 2-3 liters of milk per week, and 41% of respondents say that all family members are consuming milk regularly.
From the desire to preserve as much of its natural benefits, 67% of survey respondents consume the milk simply, while 19% mix it with sugar, honey or cocoa. Only 9% of respondents say they use milk in coffee.
For 81% of respondents, milk remains an important source of calcium, vitamins and minerals, while 22% of them choose it because it reminds them of childhood. Nearly half of respondents (44%) prefer milk because it offers serenity, and 25% drink it because it reduces the hunger sensation.
The study was conducted by Olympus Romania and aims to identify milk consumption habits among Romanians. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire, answered by 271 people employed in urban areas, which are connected to the internet and use social networks.
