ROMANIA: New obligations for retailers regarding bakery and pastry products | Progresiv
Retailers that sell bread and pastry products are obliged as of October 20, 2016 to inform buyers about the use of frozen products. 
"Economic operators who sell to bread, bakery and pastry made from frozen products, as well as caterers who prepare menus using frozen food are obliged to inform consumers by displaying in a visible, legible, easily understandable, in a form that does not allow deletion, as appropriate, on a poster, label, sale packaging, the menu offered, or the like, that come with the product, with the mentioning “product/from defrosted product”, as shown in Order no. 183/2016 of National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) on consumer information by traders engaged in commercializing in Romania products from frozen foods.
According to ANPC, the term of frozen food product refers to: bread and bakery products, pastry products, meat/ products of animal origin, vegetables, fruits.
