ROMANIA: Food and beverages trade, +7% in the first two months of 2015 | Progresiv
The turnover in Romanian retail trade of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 8.6% as gross series and 6.9% depending on seasonality and number of working days in January and February of 2015, compared with the same period last year, announced the National Institute of Statistics (INS) from Romania. 
In February, compared to the same period of 2014, sales reported an advance of 7% as gross series and 6.6% depending on seasonality. However, compared to January, gross sales decreased by 3.3%, while the seasonally adjusted sales reported a decline of 0.6%.
Overall, the turnover of retail trade (except for motor vehicles and motorcycles) reported in February of 2015, an increase of 3.3% as gross series compared to the same month last year, and a 3.5% advance based on the number of working days and seasonality, according to INS.
