ROMANIA: Farmec to open 5 new stores in 2016 | Progresiv
Farmec, the most important Romanian cosmetics manufacturer, announces that it will open 5 new stores in 2016, two of which are located in Bucharest. "Expanding the chain of Farmec stores is one of the objectives included in the development strategy of our company. For 2016 we plan to expand in the country with at least five Farmec stores that will be placed in high traffic areas both in the traditional trade and in some shopping centers. Also we give great importance to our online shop which in 2015 reported sales exceeding one million euros, the customers preferring to purchase our products in this manner", said Codrean Pop, Farmec Director of Sales.
Last year, the company reported a monthly average of 16,000 customers in the traditional trade. Currently the chain counts 7 distribution points in Cluj, Bucharest, Constanta, Arges, Timis, Brasov and Neamt and 3 branches in Baia Mare, Craiova and Focsani. Farmec brands are also present in the offers of all international retailer chains in Romania.
Farmec SA Cluj-Napoca, the largest Romanian cosmetics manufacturer, owns internationally recognized brands including Gerovital H3 Evolution, Gerovital H3 prof. Dr. Ana Aslan, Gerovital Plant, Aslavital and Farmec. The company's products reach over 30 countries, the main markets being Japan, Hungary, Poland, Moldova, Iraq, Kuwait, Greece, Canada. The manufacturer ended last year with a turnover of 172.5 million lei (38.8 million euros), an increase of over 13% compared to 2014.
