ROMANIA: Farmec to invest 55,000 euros in its first commercial unit in Brasov | Progresiv
Romanian cosmetics producer Farmec continues its expansion by opening a new store in Brasov, an investment of 55,000 euros. 
The new store, with an area of 60 square meters, is located in Sfatului Square, and between September 29-October 9, the customers from Brasov will benefit from 20% discount on any purchase in the new Farmec store.
"The opening of the first Farmec store in Brasov is part of the strategy to expand the store chain in the country. The customers from Brasov will be able to enjoy all the Farmec products from our portfolio, be it cosmetics or home care products from the Nufar and Triumf ranges. Farmec is a symbol-brand of Romania and we try to constantly meet our consumers with the best service and products. We aim that by the end of 2016 to invest 200,000 euros in opening and modernizing our own outlets in the country", said Mircea Turdean, General Director of Farmec.
Currently, Farmec store chain includes eight spaces in: Cluj Napoca (three stores), Arad, Sibiu, Targu Mures, Timisoara and Brasov.
Farmec SA Cluj-Napoca, the largest Romanian cosmetics producer, owns internationally recognized brands including Gerovital H3 Evolution Gerovital H3 prof. Dr. Ana Aslan, Gerovital Plant and Farmec. The company's products reach over 30 countries, the main markets being Japan, Hungary, Poland, Moldova, Iraq, Kuwait, Greece, Canada. In addition, the manufacturer has seven commercial units under Farmet banner and a unit under the Gerovital banner. Farmec ended 2015 with a turnover of 172.5 million lei, reporting an increase of over 13% compared to 2014.
