ROMANIA: Albalact estimates a 7% rise of turnover in 2015 | Progresiv
Romanian dairy maker Albalact reported a turnover of 474.9 million lei (about 106 million euros) in 2014, up by 12% compared to the previous year and a profit of 12.2 million lei. Plans for this year aim at an advance of about 7% compared to last year, the company budgeting a turnover of over 508 million lei (about 115 million euros).
“In the context in which the dairy market has stagnated in volume and increased slightly in value last year, we are happy to announce that innovations sustained by Albalact and an efficient portfolio management strategy have provided a double-digit growth in 2014 and a 9% increase in sales volume”, said Stephane Batoux, General Director of Albalact.
For 2015 the company has set as its main objective the business development, following the same strategy as in 2014.
Albalact ranks second among Romaian dairy manufacturers and has a portfolio of over 140 products, marketed under its 5 brands: Zuzu, Fulga, De Albalact, Raraul and Poiana Florilor. The company owns two factories, one in Oiejdea, Alba county, and the Raraul factory in Campulung Moldovenesc. The main shareholder Raul Ciurtin businessman, who holds indirectly 42.53% of the company’s stake through Crisware Holdings (26.86%) and Croniar Holdings Limited (15.67%).
