ROMANIA: 8 million euros, the investment in the largest Mega Image concept store | Progresiv
Mega Image invested 8 million euros in the largest Concept Store of the chain, located in northern Bucharest, across Baneasa Shopping City. The amount includes the construction of the building that also includes sports store Decathlon, but not the land. 
With a sales area of 2,100 square meters, the new Mega Image flagship store is the largest supermarket of the chain owned by Belgian group Delhaize, lists about 16,000 SKUs and brings novelty in matters of layout, assortments and shopping experience.
Besides other features, the store integrates all special concepts tested by the retailer in its other units, such as Equilibrium Health & Wellness, Wine Gallery, Gusturi Romanesti (Romanian Tastes) and the Angst aisle, while in the frozen foods department the entire assortment of Cool Food AB specialized store is available.
The new concept store has been operational since December 23rd and Mega Image representatives say that sales of the first month are very good.
