Belgian group Puratos, global leader in the production of ingredients for bakery, confectionery and chocolate, has launched MyPuratos, the first eCommerce platform in the field of raw and auxiliary bakery materials, dedicated to customers in the industrial, craft, retail and HoReCa sectors.
The Romanian subsidiary is the first in south-eastern Europe to introduce the e-commerce option, immediately after Belgium, Switzerland, France and Poland.
The company aims to generate about 10% of total sales for the craft bakery sector by the end of the financial year 2020 and approximately 30% of total sales in the same segment, by the end of 2021, through the new online sales channel.
“The direct relationship with our customers remains as important as before. The MyPuratos platform effectively complements our online and offline channels through which we support businesses in the bakery industry, especially in terms of artisan customers. For bakeries, pastry shops and chocolatiers, the online store will bring more flexibility and more efficient management of their own businesses”, said Andrei Stoian, Product Manager Puratos Romania.
