POLAND: Carrefour launches its online operations on the Polish market | Progresiv
Carrefour has recently launched its e-commerce site in Poland. The site offers some 800 non-food items, including mobile phones, televisions and laptops. Customers' orders are delivered via courier for a cost of 9.99 zlots (2.32 euros).
The site only offers click and collect in Krakow; customers can collect items at the Zakopianka business park. President of Carrefour Poland, Guillaume de Colonges, said the new channel complemented Carrefour's existing bricks and mortar formats, and will respond to customers' needs.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Carrefour is working with UPS in Poland to allow customers to collect other online purchases in its Express stores. The UPS team would drop off any undeliverable parcels and inform the customer by email. (www.igd.com)
