A new General Manager for JTI Romania | Progresiv
Evgeny Nikolsky is the new General Manager of JTI Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria. He replaces Mark Rock, who will continue to manage JTI Germany.
Evgeny Nikolsky joined JTI (Gallaher) in 2001, on the sales team in Kazakhstan. Since then, he has continued to develop his career and experience in brands and trade marketing, becoming Sales Director in this country, in 2009. In 2014, he moved to Russia to manage the Megapolis distributor, after which he became Sales Director in JTI Russia. In 2016, he returned to Kazakhstan, under the leadership of JTI, and from 2018, he also coordinated the JTI activity in Central Asia and Mongolia.
“JTI has entered the third decade of existence in this country and I believe that Romanians should be proud of their achievements, highly appreciated and recognized in the JTI group. We reached over 28% market share, and in 2019 we also entered the category of products with low risk potential, with Logic Compact. We export over 70% of the production of the Bucharest factory, in almost 50 countries worldwide. JTI has a solid reputation, due to the company's involvement in the community life, being a reliable partner of the Romanian authorities. So we have every reason to continue to invest locally, in our people and brands”, said Evgeny Nikolsky.
JTI started its operations in Romania in 1993 (as R.J. Reynolds) and was one of the first multinational companies established locally. JTI has over 1,200 employees working in its headquarters in Bucharest, in the factory and in the sales offices throughout the country.
