Kaufland enters the fast delivery segment through a partnership with Glovo | Progresiv
Kaufland Romania has signed a partnership with Glovo through which customers can order food or non-food products from the retailer's stores, which will then be delivered to their home or office. 
The fast delivery service is available in the first phase in Bucharest, and by the end of this year the launch will be analyzed for other cities of the country. Glovo couriers provide deliveries throughout the Capital, being served by five Kaufland stores in Bucharest: Barbu Vacarescu, Mihai Bravu, Aparatorii Patriei, Tudor Vladimirescu and Basarab.
The assortment currently available comprises over 1,300 items in the categories: vegetables and fruits, meat, sausages and frozen products; dairy, cheese and eggs; coffee, bread and breakfast products; basic foods; sweets and snacks; beverages; cosmetics, personal hygiene products and baby products; non-food products and cleaning products; pet food.
The maximum limit of purchases that can be carried at this time by Glovo couriers is 9 kilograms per delivery.
Currently, Glovo makes deliveries in Bucharest, Constanta, Iasi, Cluj, Brasov, Timisoara and Craiova.
Kaufland is one of the largest retail companies in Europe, with over 1,270 stores in 7 countries and a chain of 126 stores in Romania. For the financial year 2018, the company reported a turnover of 10.8 billion lei, thus maintaining its position of leader of the local retail market. Compared to 2017, the retailer marked a 7% business growth.
