Italian cake producer Bauli takes majority stake in Slovakian sports nutrition company | Progresiv
Bauli, an Italy-based producer of conventional sweet-baked merchandise reminiscent of pandoro and pannetone, has sought to diversify by taking a majority stake in Slovakian sports activities diet enterprise MaxSport.
Neither the monetary particulars not the scale of the stake taken have been disclosed.
The deal was confirmed to just-food by a consultant of regulation agency MCL, which suggested Bauli.
Bratislava-based MaxSport was established in 2005 and specialises within the improvement, manufacture and sale of dietary supplements aimed on the bodily energetic.
Its merchandise embody the Royal Protein Bar, Protein Chips and Protein Cake.
Bauli was based in 1922 in Verona and the family-owned enterprise now has greater than 170 product varieties which, apart from pandoro and pannetone, embody biscuits, youngsters’s snacks, chocolate eggs and croissants.
Bauli’s turnover in 2018 was 472.6 million euros and its web revenue was 10.2 million euros.
