Increasing revenue for Danone Romania in 2015 | Progresiv
Danone Romania, the largest local producer of yogurts, ended 2015 with revenues of 484 million lei, up by 6% over the previous year, according to data provided by the company. The result was sustained by redefining the yogurt category strategy, but also by the expansion of production factory in Bucharest for other markets in Europe.
"Danone Romania had a good year in 2015, a year in which we reconfirmed the leader position on the yoghurt segment, which is our main business. The positive evolution came following the redefinition of strategy and focus on yogurts in active health, pampering and children ranges, yogurts with added value for consumers", said Adrian Pascu, General Director Danone Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Adriatic Countries.
Regarding the company's plans for 2016, Adrian Pascu says that "it remains a priority to consolidate a sustainable and profitable business, enabling us to grow and to continue our investments. We have a good start in 2016 and I am sure we will continue building value for the company, employees, consumers and society in general".
Danone Romania is market leader in the yogurts segment. The company has a portfolio of over 90 kinds of products, mostly produced in the Bucharest factory with fresh milk collected from Romanian farmers.
