HUNGARY: Tesco employees could go on strike | Progresiv
Employees of the Hungarian subsidiary of retail giant Tesco have formed a strike committee and are planning to go on strike, following negotiations on wage raises failing to achieve the desired results, Hungarian daily Magyar Idők reported. 
The first wave of strikes would involve those employees that prepare and carry out the deliveries of Tesco’s online orders, according to reports.
According to Csaba Bubenko, president of KDFSZ, the union would like a 20% wage increase from April, and a 15% raise from September for the online department. These increases would roughly cost the company 5 billion forints, which according to the union is roughly the amount Tesco used to pay for the whole year to remain open on Sundays, prior to the Sunday closings law coming into effect last year, Magyar Idők said.
