Rewe is increasingly relying on online trade: CEO Alain Caparros is planning to supplement the existing e-commerce shops for wine and for pet supplies with an internet offer for cosmetics. 
The retailer plans to expand their online business. In addition to the existing e-commerce shops for wine and for pet supplies - weinfreunde.de and zooroyal.de - the retail giant also plans to launch an internet offer for cosmetics, according to statements made by CEO Alain Caparros in an interview with the magazine "Wirtschaftswoche". The company has already expanded its rewe.de online ordering service and food delivery to 70 cities.
The manager still sees growth potential in retail stores as well: “Rewe ToGo will now be rolled out across Germany. In the coming years, we see potential for 400 to 500 such stores”, said Caparros. (www.wiwo.de)
