GERMANY: Henkel ends FY on strong note | Progresiv
Henkel has reported strong growth in its year-ending quarter, helped by a good performance across all its businesses, which helped push up full-year figures. 
For the three months ending December, net profit jumped up 50% to 446 million euros, while sales were up 7% to 4.4 billion euros. The results meant full-year net profit was up 18.4% to 1.9 billion euros, while sales grew by 10.1% to 18 billion euros (+3% on an organic basis).
For the year, the group’s Laundry & Home Care business saw sales grow by 4.9% on an organic basis (+11% reported), the Beauty Care business registered a 2.1% organic sales increase (+8.1% reported), while the Adhesive Technologies unit reported a 2.4% rise (+10.6% reported).
CEO Kasper Rorsted noted: “Despite the difficult economic environment, we delivered a strong financial performance, continued to successfully implement our strategy and laid a strong foundation for our future”. Rorsted said the group was helped by a stabilisation of sales at its Adhesives business in China.
For 2016, the group has forecast sales to grow by 2%-4% on an organic basis. (www.kamcity.com)
