GERMANY: Former Metro Russia boss takes over control of Metro Cash&Carry | Progresiv
Dutchman Pieter Boone, Director of Metro Cash & Carry Russia, will take over the entire Metro Cash & Carry subisidiary, this position being held in parallel by Mero AG Group CEO, Olaf Koch. 
Following his appointment, Pieter Boone will also be part of Metro group’s management board, along with Olaf Koch (CEO), Mark Frese (CFO), Pieter Haas (Media-Saturn) and Heiko Hutmacher (Human Resources).
Boone will take over the position of board member from July 1st and will share Metro Cash & Carry’s management with Olaf Koch as co-executive director until the end of the financial year.
German group Metro reported in the financial year 2013/2014 sales of about 63 billion euros, through the operations it runs in 30 countries worldwide. In Romania, the German group owns 31 Metro Cash & Carry and Metro Punct stores and four Real hypermarkets.
