FRANCE: Nestlé to invest 27 million euros in French infant formula plant | Progresiv
The Swiss group Nestlé will invest 27 million euros in its plant in Boue, in the Aisne. It's going to produce new baby milks. Nestlé wants to give new life to its plant in Boue, specializing in the manufacture of infant formulas. The Swiss giant will invest, within two years, some 27 million euros to modernize its production facilities and develop new generations of products. "Our goal is to be more precise in nutrient dosage. This investment will allow us to market an industrial infant formula with the best adjusted protein levels compared to breast milk, "says Muriel Koch, Director General of infant milk division.
Created in 1927, the factory was known for producing Boue until 2002 of condensed milk, sweetened or not. It was at this time that Nestlé has chosen specialization in the growing market, but very demanding, infant formulas. Within a decade, the group has invested 45 million euros to transform its Picardy factory and make him adopt standards substantially similar to those producing pharmaceuticals.
